Lord Howe Island is the only place in Australia where one can see the Galapagos Whaler Shark.
This reef shark is both curious and beautiful. With Dive Lord Howe you can swim with these inspiring creatures under the guidance of our trained professionals.
After a briefing on shark interaction etiquette, you will be taken to a location known for congregations of Galapagos Whalers Sharks. The crew will then set up safety lines and brief you on procedures for the interaction prior to entering the water. This is a truly unforgettable experience and should be on everyone's bucket list for Lord Howe Island.
We are also working closely with shark biologists Jonathan Mitchell and Victoria Camilieri-Asch from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science to collate the data for valuable research. You too can contribute to their research by sharing your images from your experience.
