Pro Dive Lord Howe Island hosted the third annual Photography Competition in conjunction with award winning nature photographer Scott Portelli from 1st - 11th June. This year we opened the competition to terrestrial photography as well as underwater, and also included a Junior Category.

The group of divers competed for a variety of prizes, with David Short winning the major prize for his submission in the Portfolio Category. Close runner up was Jack Shick, who took out some of the minor categories. David will enjoy a snorkelling trip with Orca’s and Humpback Whales in Norway, courtesy of Waterproof Expeditions, later this year as the winner of the event.

Our Junior Under 18 Category was sponsored by Marine Parks, and the participants were challenged with taking an image to showcase the Lord Howe Island Marine Park. The winner was Finn Anderson, age 7.
